Centers drawing for kids

What are QR Codes and How Can I Use them in my Centers drawing for kids? Last week we began our Procedural Writing Unit. We began the unit immersing the students with different procedural books. Genius hour is an amazing concept that children respond to because they get to learn about any topic they choose.

The Primary Blogging Community is currently accepting classes that blog for the October rotation. Our current math unit is measurement. This past year, I really focused on explicitly teaching comprehension strategies to my students. I Created A Class Twitter Account, Now What? Stations I have posted before, however I thought it might be useful to post them again, at the beginning of the year so you know they are here if you want to try something new during your literacy or math block. I hope you find them useful or they spark new ideas to try with your students. This one might be a bit confusing at first.

What grade level are these activities? 2 split last year, but many of them can be adapted to whatever level you are teaching. Thank you for sharing your ideas. I love these centers and would like your permission to share them with the second grade teachers I’m training tomorrow.

I will credit you of course. I have a question about Audioboo. How do you handle young students uploading, CIPA and parents who are not comfortable with anything from their child being uploaded? Please feel free to share them! I don’t have any issues with uploading students’ work. I am lucky that the parents in my room have been with me for at least 2 years and trust me with these issues.

They do sign a form at the beginning of the school year that allows me to publish their work, pictures and video of their children. I really enjoyed how these stations reinforce your teaching and increasing students to be self-aware of their own learning. I’ve just found your blog and love your posts. Thanks for taking the time to share what you are doing. I especially like Draw and Tell having sound recording as well. I just found your blog and it is inspiring. My 2nd grade class became a 1:1 class in May due to grants and donations, and your site will be helpful this summer as I look for ideas.

Thanks for sharing these super resources! Great ideas – I love the ipad station ideas – its a great way to get teachers strated on how to integrate the tools.
