Genius hour is an amazing concept that children respond to because they get to learn about any topic they choose.

This past year, I really focused on explicitly teaching comprehension strategies to my students. I Created A Class Twitter Account, Now What? Stations I have posted before, however I thought it might be useful to post them again, at the beginning of the year so you know they are here if you want to try something new during your literacy or math block. I will credit you of course. I have a question about Audioboo. How do you handle young students uploading, CIPA and parents who are not comfortable with anything from their child being uploaded? Please feel free to share them! I don’t have any issues with uploading students’ work. I am lucky that the parents in my room have been with me for at least 2 years and trust me with these issues.
They do sign a form at the beginning of the school year that allows me to publish their work, pictures and video of their children. I really enjoyed how these stations reinforce your teaching and increasing students to be self-aware of their own learning. I’ve just found your blog and love your posts.
