Occupational Therapyfocuses on the child’s “occupation”, which is to play and learn. Through structured play, OTs target sensory integration, fine motor coordination, gross motor skills, and activities of daily living. Physical Therapyfocuses on improving gross motor skills, as well as functional abilities and independence. Speech Therapyfocuses on communication skills by improving articulation, language, memory, listening, attention, sequencing, problem solving, and social skills.
