Welcome It’s lovely to welcome you to the St John’s website! St John’s school has been at the heart of the community since 1844 and, although it’s changed over the years, we pride ourselves on continuing to build a legacy that we can leave for future St Johnners.
Our mission statement – Love of God, Love of Neighbour, Love of Oneself is at the centre of all we do. This poses many challenges for our children, staff, families and friends but we embrace the opportunity of putting this into action. I hope your tour around our website gives you an insight into what life is like at St John’s but if you’d like to see even more please don’t hesitate to get in touch and visit us. At St John’s we have been serving our community since 1844, which is 25 years before the state took responsibility for education. We have excellent relationships with the other Dukinfield schools and often work alongside them in partnership to achieve the best for our Dukinfield families. A termly highlight is when we welcome some of the older members of our community into our school for a Tea Party. It gives us a chance to showcase some of our talents but more importantly an opportunity for the children to see that you’re never too old to entertain.
