Off-season training to maintain and prepare your athlete for the season ahead. Personalized and regimented training for all players and athletes. 9 week program football training camps for kids on the week of Monday, April 23rd with baseline testing. All training will be at Evergreen Sportsplex.
This introduction session will highlight what we have in store for our off-season programming. Football focused training to enhance and sharpen technique and skill sets of your player. This 4 session camp will provide training needed to maintain in-season athleticism and ability needed for success on the field of play. The final day of camp will be a combine to measure and assess the athletic metrics of each player. It is important to improve foot speed, quickness, speed changes, and directional change. Each of these skills enhances athletic performance.
A solid foundation of athletic abilities and motor skills allows the athlete to develop sport specific skills in a balanced and healthy way. Once a player establishes a foundation, they can enjoy their physical activity and progress in their sport as far as they choose to go. The Evergreen Hammers will be holding clinics this winter for players aged U7 through U13. Each session will be capped at 100 athletes and will be free with non-perishable food or paper products that will be donated to food shelters in Loudoun. Each position-specific clinic will feature guest instructors who have played the game at the highest levels such as Shaun Alexander, Antwaan Randle-El, Eddie Mason, Jimmy Kibble and others. There will be one position specific clinic each week for a total of 8 weeks spanning between January 7, 2018 through February 25, 2018.
The Sportsplex offers a number of features for the whole family to enjoy, including the Evergreen Adventure Course with rock climbing, zip lines and elevated ropes course. The Adventure Course is a perfect venue for parties, team building and corporate events. Working on the fundamentals and footwork to give players an edge to excel. With blocking, stunting, run stopping and pass rush, technique is very important. You will get help in mastering those techniques and improving your skills to get you ready for fall.
The Team camp is a way for teams to come together and train. The focus of the camp will be to develop team level concepts in preparation for the fall season. These concepts and schemes will be instilled and reinforced in competitive drills with and against teammates and players from other schools participating in the camp. Teams will need to provide helmets and shoulder pads for this camp.
