He also graduated from the US Naval Test Pilot School, and has accumulated more than 1600 hours of flight time in 28 aircraft, 400 carrier-arrested landings, and 61 combat missions. Hines has served as a research pilot at NASA’s Johnson Space Center for five years, and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering from Boston University. Kim trained and operated as a Navy SEAL, and completed more than 100 combat operations. Kim earned a degree in Mathematics from the University of San Diego, as well as a Doctorate of Medicine from Harvard Medical School. Kim has served as a combat medic, sniper, navigator, and point man, and was working as a resident physician in emergency medicine with Partners Healthcare at Massachusetts General Hospital when he was selected. Kulin holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Denver, a Master’s degree in Materials Science, and a Doctorate in Engineering at the University of California, San Diego. He has also worked as an ice driller in Antarctica on the West Antarctic Ice Sheet and Taylor Glaciers. When Kulin was chosen, he was working as a senior manager for flight reliability at SpaceX, and led the Launch Chief Engineering group in Hawthorne, California.

Moghbeli earned a Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering with Information Technology at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and a Master’s degree in Aerospace Engineering from the Naval Postgraduate School. As a graduate of the US Naval Test Pilot School, she’s conducted more than 1,600 hours of flight time, and 150 combat missions. When selected, she was testing H-1 helicopters and serving as the quality assurance and avionics officer for Marine Operational Test and Evaluation Squadron 1 of the U. The Research Engineer earned Bachelor of Science degree in Aerospace Engineering at the University of Kansas and a Master of Science degree in Aeronautics and Astronautics from Purdue University.
