The technique of corrective teaching children

We are now well into the first term, its great to see all our students swimming very well after the summer break. This year we will be implementing our program of continuous technical improvement, this means in depth assessment of each child’s technique, with corrective drills to fix any faults. We don’t want to see the technique of corrective teaching children fault perpetuated through the different levels.

This will mean hard work for everyone with a bunch of fun thrown in. Pims Swim School is on the southside of Brisbane, in Rochedale South. The swim centre has been servicing this community for over 16 years. Children of all ages to swim in group classes and private lessons.

Water confidence along with water safety and stroke skills as an integral part of our learn-to-swim program. Junior squad including, rigorous training and stroke correction for the serious competitors. We believe that swimming is a healthy, life-saving skill all children should learn, especially in sunny Queensland. Participation in a learn-to-swim class should be a happy experience for all students. The environment should be child friendly, caring, nurturing and stimulating, a place where they feel safe and at-ease. It should also enable them to progress at their own pace, as they learn both basic and advanced swimming skills.

The aim of all our programs are:To promote quality lessons at an affordable price. To conduct classes in a friendly, encouraging manner that will facilitate learning. To develop self-confidence in the water. To increase the child’s awareness and understanding for the need for water safety by teaching the appropriate knowledge skills and activities. Britain’s economic prosperity and social cohesion both depend on achieving that goal 2 Good teachers, using the most effective methods, are the key to higher standards.

20 Government will lead the drive to raise standards and create the right framework, but it cannot succeed alone. It must work in partnership with all those who have a part to play in improving the quality of education: parents, teachers and governors, local authorities, churches and business. Parents are a child’s primary educator and our partnership approach will involve them fully. We want to put the years of division, conflict and short-term thinking behind us.
